Golf Business News – Pula is fine-tuning its facilities ahead of the new season

Pula Golf looks forward to an exciting year after the opening of several new facilities, including the first TrackMan practice system to be installed in Mallorca.

The accommodation suites have also seen major investment to include impressive kitchen facilities as well as the unveiling of a state-of-the-art gym and spa as part of an extensive investment plan which should further strengthen the resort’s offer.

Considered one of the best golf courses on the island, the Pula Golf Resort course was redesigned by José María Olazábal between 2004 and 2006, with the resort having hosted the European Tour on eight occasions.

As well as the 6,246m par 72 course, there is also a state-of-the-art fit center, golf coaching, private lessons and, from 2022, an all-new TrackMan system in the two-tier range.

The software, which opened in March, allows users to track and visualize ball speed, carry, launch angle, precise distances and shot shaping, making it the ideal place to warm up before a game on the course.

The TrackMan system isn’t just for the tech-savvy golf expert. Fun mini-games such as ‘Longest Drive’, ‘Nearest-to-the-Pin’ and ‘Bull’s Eye’, allow guests to compete against each other and leaderboards, with the system opening up golf to a brand new audience of beginners and families.

Once the golf is over, Pula Golf Resort still has plenty of Mallorcan charm to impress its guests. The S’era de Pula restaurant overlooks the resort and offers a menu provided by their 6000m2 vegetable garden, making it one of Mallorca’s elite restaurants.

Guests can then retire to their accommodation, with a huge choice of rooms and suites, many of which have recently undergone restoration.

Located in the Finca, which was built in 1581, the hotel has 10 stunning rooms which have all gone through a period of major investment as recently as last year, having first opened in 1997.

There are also 21 self-contained suites, seven of which were completed in early 2022 to include new kitchen layouts that help create a rustic charm and relaxed atmosphere.

Guests soak up the Mallorcan sunshine by the outdoor swimming pool, while taking time to explore the modern gym, sauna and spa facilities.

The gym and spa, which was also opened alongside the TrackMan system, includes a range of state-of-the-art technology, an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, Scottish shower and even a range of relaxing massages .

Arnau Sala, Managing Director of Pula Golf Resort, said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for Pula Golf Resort, both in terms of golf and leisure facilities. We’ve seen a lot of change in the 26 years we’ve hosted golfers, and this is perhaps the biggest investment we’ve had.

“The addition of the TrackMan has been an exciting development for the driving range, and when paired with the refurbished accommodation and superb golf course, we believe we have something exceptional to offer golfers traveling the world. ‘Isle.”
