A HOTEL has announced its intention to modify its spa and gym service.
The Low Wood Bay Resort and Spa, Windermere has contacted health club members to inform them of the current changes.
From the beginning of April, the hotel group will start working on
expanding its spa facilities to meet increased demand.
This will mean the closure of the on-site health club and gym facilities, including the fitness room and studios which will be used for additional spa treatment rooms and relaxation areas.
Current health club memberships will continue through the end of March and
members were contacted directly by the station to inform them of the
Ben Berry of English Lakes Hotels Resorts & Venues said: “The demand for
our spa services at Low Wood Bay have been outstanding and continue to
grow. To meet this demand, we made the decision to make better use of
existing space within the station.
“Unfortunately this means the removal of our gym and fitness facilities
rooms for our local members. It’s a decision we didn’t take lightly.
and we know our local gym users will be disappointed that we can’t
no longer offer them a membership service.
“We are always reviewing what we offer on our sites and looking for
solutions that best meet the needs of those who stay with us. And our
